PLUG AND PLAY SINGLE USE FOR SMALL OFFICE

Shadowsafe are a fast growing off-site disaster recovery company who run complex modelling packages, based in Brisbane, Australia.  They needed improved latency and reliability over their existing cloud-based IT solution and didn’t have time, the space or the budget to build a traditional server room.

A near-silent 38U Cubb was commissioned within 1 day and is situated in their reception area (pic below).  The condenser unit is mounted in the service corridor 20 meters away and the pipework runs under the raised floor.  They have installed IT equipment generating up to 5KW of heat, none of which is expelled into the reception area.

Since installing the Zellabox, the client has enjoyed significantly reduced latency, 100% uptime and has added an additional 2x 38U Cubbs on either side.

NETWORK OF ZELLABOXES FOR A LARGE, COMPLEX SITE, eg. UNIVERSITY OR HOSPITAL

Client B is a regional hospital who needs quick, guaranteed access to highly confidential patient information.  Their main concerns are security of their IT equipment and the security of not being reliant on a cloud solution.

They are installing a Zellabox in each department (up to a total of around 40).  It is small enough to fit through a standard door, and the biometric access controls and central data logging mean the Zellaboxes are secure enough to be installed in the shared area of each department.  The hospital IT department can monitor the network of Zellaboxes from their central office and the medical team can be certain of being able to access the information they need even if there are issues with the cloud.

NATIONAL OR INTERNATIONAL NETWORK OF ZELLABOXES FOR A MULTI-SITE CLIENT, eg. A RESOURCE OR RETAILER FIRM

Petroecuador (State Petroleum Company of Ecuador) is an international, multi-site resources company who has a number of sites across the globe. Petroecuador needed to have access to each and every Zellabox located at each site from one central location with the ability to monitor, manage and control from one dedicated central location.

Their main concerns are having the capability of establishing a central control station at one site (i.e. corporate head office) with complete visibility of all of their Zellaboxes located across the globe on one monitor and being able to standardize the physical on-site IT infrastructure in a central warehouse, configure to their internal systems and test before sending the Zellabox out to the relevant site complete and ready to go.

The Power IQ management software fitted as standard to the Zellabox also means that the corporate IT team can monitor, manage and control all global Zellaboxes from one desk.

SECURE, RUGGED UNIT FOR DIFFICULT ENVIRONMENTS

BHP is a mining company who have a number of sites across the globe.  A large number of the sites are typically rural mines, staffed by a non-technical team who do not have the time or skills to look after a data centre but they need a robust, reliable IT system.

Zellabox is designed to be resilient against extreme heat and humidity and they have proved that they are able to withstand catastrophic infrastructure failures such as rain, hail, dust and once even the collapse of a building.  It’s also quick and easy to move from site to site as the client needs.
